FOUND, a Low Budget Film. Shoot Dates: February 27-March 4, 2012 (in
central London, UK). STORY: The film is about growing up centres on Toby.
Toby is angry - he’s angry because in three months he’ll become an adult
with real problems and responsibilities. He’s angry because his best friend
Luke now spends most of his time talking to his new girlfriend Jess. He’s
angry because everyone around him seems to have very definite opinions
of what Toby should and should not be doing with himself. But most of all,
he is angry because he doesn’t know what is going to happen to him. When
Toby and Luke find a stray puppy on the roadside, Toby starts to believe
that this may be an area of his life that he can finally hold sway over.
After all, dogs are supposed to be steadfast, unwavering companions. However,
when the puppy runs off and doesn’t return, Toby will find that in order
to take full control of his life, he will first have to let go. The film
explores themes of change and friendship and will be entered into the FujiFilm
Shorts Competition, as well as other festivals worldwide. Breakdown-- Toby:
17-18, 5'10"-6'0", good looking, light-medium build. Toby is a brooder.
He is scared about what the future holds in store for him, but waves it
off by being scathing and cynical. Inside he is a sensitive, caring boy
but hates anyone to see. Luke is his best friend and he would do anything
for him, apart from be nice to Luke's girlfriend. A control freak and an
Idealist, Toby is our bitter protagonist; Luke: 17-18, 5'9"-6'0",
medium build, Light hair, fresh faced and boyish. Luke is Toby's antithesis.
He too is nervous for what will happen when passing from youth to adulthood,
but is willing to accept his insecurities. He is a realist and takes everything
one step at a time. He trusts both in life and in Toby. A tolerant shoulder
to lean on, Luke will always be there for Toby. (Posted: February 14, 2012)
